STURDY, TRADITIONAL CONSTRUCTION AND GOOD INSULATION

Your house is a high-quality construction built in the traditional way. Benefit from our qualified teams, our know-how and our rational organisation...all at the right price.

We use all the latest construction techniques, not only in terms of heat insulation and energy savings, but also to achieve optimal quality and comfort.

The precautions taken at each stage in the construction process and the quality of the building materials we use are the best guarantee that your house will be well built, well finished and perfectly insulated.

Nothing is left to chance: our masons, joiners, roofers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers and painters are all highly qualified and work methodically and carefully to ensure the quality of their work.

Foundations

They anchor your house to the ground.

We begin by digging a trench deep enough to ensure the foundations are sheltered from frost and have a sufficiently strong base.

We fill the trench with reinforced concrete to provide the stable base over which the load of the house will be spread.

We then build a wall with cement blocks up to soil level.

The surface area inside the foundations is first levelled and then filled with a special material that is carefully compacted. It does not absorb humidity and provides a perfectly stable base for the concrete floor slab.

Insulating plates with high heat-resistance are placed inside the wall of blocks to prevent heat loss.

Rising damp is blocked by a thick, very strong sheet of plastic covering the whole floor area of the house. On top of this, the floor is laid in the form of a 10 cm-thick reinforced concrete slab.

Load-Bearing Walls

They guarantee the sturdiness and insulation of your house and bear the weight of the roof.

For these reasons, they have a total thickness of 32.5cm.

To guarantee their strength, we use traditional brick building methods, and our masons work using plumb lines, brick trowels and mortar, just like in times gone by.

Insulation is provided by a thick lining made up of an 8cm thick insulating layer offering high resistance to heat and a plaster facing panel.

Water-tightness is provided by a rustic exterior coloured rendering which contributes not only to the strength, but also to the insulation of your home.

Timberwork and Roofing

To make the roof as strong as possible.

The timber frame is composed of triangular trusses made with wood that has benefited from fungicide and insecticide treatment, and bracing so that it can take the strain in high winds.

The frame has been specially designed to distribute the weight of the roof evenly around the load-bearing walls.

The roof is then covered with tiles installed in the normal way on fungicide and insecticide-treated wooden battens.

The ceilings are insulated with a thick layer of glass wool laid out in the loft to complete the insulating barrier around the walls and foundations.

The ceilings are at a height of 2.5 metres to give the rooms a spacious, airy, comfortable feel.

Doors and Windows

A key factor in the comfort and aesthetics of your home.

The frames of the windows and French windows are all made with strong, 45mm-thick solid wood.

They are all fitted with 16mm insulating double glazing and a water-tight peripheral seal to ensure perfect insulating properties.

The traditional, solid-wood shutters fold back against the house walls.

The interior doors have stainless, anodised almunium handles.

The wooden front door is reinforced by a steel plate and has a security lock. Its insulating core, door sill and water-tight peripheral seal all contribute to improving the insulation of your home.

Electrical Equipment

Provides for all your lighting, heating, hot-water and power socket needs.

The separate circuits each benefit from individual protection.

All the power sockets are earthed.

Each of the rooms has plenty of power sockets.

Hot water is produced by an immersion heater.

The full electric heating system is controlled on a room-by-room basis by a thermostat for each convector.

The electrical system of your home complies with all the mandatory standards in force.

Insulation

This guarantees that your home is comfortable and economical to run, and does not waste heat.

The foundations are not exposed to frost and are protected from rising damp by a thick plastic sheet. Thermal insulation of the foundations is provided by insulating plates offering high resistance to heat.

The load-bearing walls are protected on the outside by water-tight rendering and on the inside by an 8cm-thick insulating lining.

The ceilings are protected by a thick layer of glass wool which completes the continuous layer of insulation lining the load-bearing walls and foundations.

Windows and French windows are protected by 16mm insulating double-glazing and a water-tight peripheral seal.

The front door has an insulating core and a water-tight seal around the edges.

The high level of insulation of your home is perfectly suited to the electric heating system fitted throughout.

It complies with all the latest mandatory standards.
